In the town of Prospect, Oregon, there are three waterfalls. Pearsony Falls is a short hike, and the smallest of the three, but it is still challenging to get a good picture. In this natural area, there are several distracting elements that can take away from a picture of the overall falls. Dead or fallen trees and debris may look cool when you see it in person, but sometimes it just doesn't look right in a photo. I found a green plant at the base of the falls for my foreground, and lined up a cascading flow down through the picture using a longer shutter speed on a cloudy day for even lighting.
