Oyster Catcher with a snack

Oyster Catcher with a snack

The sea stacks that dot the Oregon Coast are home to some amazing birds. The oyster catcher is one such bird with it's solid black body and bright orange beak and eyes. While taking pictures at Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Oregon, I observed some noisy birds calling to each other and then settling down on the rocks next to me to look for a snack. I turned my focus from the landscape featuring Poseidon's Cross (reference to my photo of Arch Rock) and started to take bird pictures. Observing nature is a passion, and catching this guy getting a snack from the rocks at low tide was a real treat.
