Rabbit Ears

Rabbit Ears

Located in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest just west of Crater Lake National Park is a volcanic feature called Rabbit Ears. The 300 foot tall twin peak volcanic cores stand above the surrounding forest at about 5600 feet in elevation. They are quite a sight to see. I still have plans to climb to the top one day, but for now I just love to photograph them and the surrounding area. Having been to this location in different seasons, I think the “moody” winter conditions represent this area of isolated forest best.
