On a trip through Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, I got the change to photograph a group of wild bighorn sheep up close. They were moving past where I had set up to take a landscape picture, grazing on the dried grass as they slowly moved by. I quickly changed to a telephoto lens and snapped some shots. This elderly Ram came closer and closer to check me out. Sometimes when you are taking wildlife photos, you make a connection with the animal and it fills your heart. This Ram acknowledged me, and I acknowledged it, we shared a moment, and then moved on...
